  Dear Father God,

   

  Thank You for Your Word and for the guidance and truth it speaks into my life.

   

  I want to know You more with each day, setting aside time to read my Bible and to let Your words rest on my lips and in my heart...

   

  Your word is a lamp to my feet

  And a light to my path.

  Psalm 119:105

   

  I want to be more like You Lord.

   

  Please mold my heart to be more selfless and loving.

   

  I pray that I will be slow to speak and quick to listen.

   

  Help me to develop the spiritual fruit of patience, so generously nurtured by Your Holy Spirit.

   

  Please forgive me for the many times that I have fallen short of Your perfect ways.

   

  Each day I will continue to choose You and to seek Your ways over mine.

   

  Thank You, Lord.
