  • The Importance of Being Uncomfortable
    Thursday, August 6, 2020
Messiah told us to "go out and spread the word" to all nations. Why don't you share when you know you should? "I'm uncomfortable witnessing." "When I start witnessing, I break out in rashes." Are you comfortable getting up Monday morning and going to work? Yeah. But did that ever stop you from going to work? Not everything in life is comfortable, in fact, not even everything good in life is comfortable. Most great things in our lives require us not to be comfortable. Feeding the hungry isn't comfortable, visiting prisons, bringing healing... not comfortable. What we're comfortable with is generally what we're used to. If you stay with what's comfortable, then you're staying in the old. You can never have anything new if you stay with old. You can never know any new changes, victories, or miracles. Good and comfortable, comfortable, and good, don't often go together. But you know what happens? After you do what's good and not comfortable, it stops being uncomfortable. Then you can step out to even greater heights. God didn't call you to live a life that was comfortable. He called you to live a life that was good.
