Jesus: The Beginning and the End
"I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End,“ says the Lord,
“Who is and who was and who is to come,
Jesus is the Beginning and the End; He was the Creator of all things, because nothing existed before Him—not the earth, not the throne, not even Heaven itself. “For by Him all things were created” (Colossians 1:16). He is the Beginning of time, of space, of matter, of human beings. Jesus initiated everything. Since Jesus began it all, He’s in control.
Lord, I know You’re the Creator, but the world is filled with chaos. I want to see Your plan unfolding in my life. Help me see Your purpose in the small details of my life.

Just because you don’t understand events around you, it doesn’t mean that Jesus doesn’t know about them. Because Jesus is the Beginning and the End, He has absolute sovereignty over the broad sweep of history as well as the small details of your life. Jesus began the history, and He will end history; so He can control everything in between.
Lord, open my eyes to see Your big picture. I am so small; help me see how I fit into Your big plan. Lord, I want to complete Your purpose for my life. Amen.
