Coffee Time with Jesus

  • Jesus: The Door
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9
Jesus is the Door, which means that individuals must go through Him to enter Heaven. But a door is also a barrier; it keeps intruders out. Those who reject Jesus cannot enter Heaven. He is the Door to keep hypocrites out of the Father’s presence. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,” Jesus said (Matthew 7:21).
Lord, You are my Door; I have experienced salvation through You. Today I have many choices to make. How can I know which decisions—doors—to take?
Jesus is the Door to salvation; those who come to Him have salvation, because “He who has the Son has life” (1 John 5:12). Some refuse to come to Jesus, believing that all religions are good; but “wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it” (Matthew 7:13). Not every door goes to Heaven, and not every door opens to eternal life. Jesus is the only Door to Heaven. He is a narrow Door; sometimes it’s difficult to follow Jesus because “narrow is the gate . . . which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:14). But when you choose according to the Scriptures, you have chosen the right path; you have chosen Jesus, the Door of countless opportunities.
Lord, I walk through the doors that You open today. I will not lag behind or run ahead of You. I will go where You lead. You are my Door to life. Amen.
    Go Deeper: Luke 9:23-26
Jesus is your Door of opportunity.
