So often I hear what people are going through and I feel sad and sorry for them.
And when I’m going through tough times, I often become upset about it.
But when I look at the story Joseph in the Old Testament and the betrayals and trials that he went through; and when I see how You led him through it all, I understand that You also have a plan for me in all that happens. Genesis 37+
If Joseph had not been betrayed and put in that pit by his brothers, then sold into slavery, then wrongly accused and taken to prison, he would not have been in the position to save his family, the children of Israel, and the people of Egypt as well as people from around the world.
As Joseph later told his brothers...
But as for you, you meant evil against me;
but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
Lord, please help me to remember Joseph and his story when I’m in the midst of troubles.
I pray that my life will be a “Joseph life,” accomplishing Your purpose through hard times and good times.
Please do what is necessary to use my life for Your eternal Kingdom and glory.
