  • The Mystery of Beit Lechem

Bethlehem - in Hebrew is really two words: Bet and Lechem. Bet means house. Lechem means bread. Bethlehem means - THE HOUSE or PLACE - OF BREAD. What is the Bread of Life? It's what we need more than anything else. If you needed money, marriage, pleasures, alcohol or drugs - then they would have them all in Bethlehem - for Bet Lechem is the House of Bread. But these they did not find. Instead, they found a baby, a person. They didn't even find His teachings or miracles or words - they just found Him. For what do you need more than anything? You need Him, He who is LOVE. And if we needed more, He would have come with riches and accompaniments. You want your needs to be met? Then turn away from seeking all the other things and come to Bet Lechem - the House of Bread. There you will find the Bread of Life. It's not a thing nor an idea - but HIM alone. For God would only give what you need most. And He gave you Jesus. He is all you need - and the only thing that fills.

    Today's Mission
Put away something you may have sought fulfillment in (a habit, an indulgence, an entertainment) - and seek instead to be filled in His presence.
