Coffee Time with Jesus

  • Jesus: Heir of All Things
(God) has in these last days
spoken to us by His Son,
whom He has appointed heir of all things,
through whom also He made the worlds.
    Hebrews 1:2

Jesus is the Heir of All Things, because at the end of this age, all things will be given to Him. But right now, Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Right now, people are driven by the lust of their flesh, the lust of their eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). The curse has hidden the ultimate beauty of nature (Romans 8:20-21); and the Jews—God’s people—were blinded to the gospel (2 Corinthians 3:14). But one day, the Father will reclaim all; He will control all things absolutely. And He will give everything to Jesus, because Jesus is the appointed Heir of All Things. Then Jesus will share it all with you, because you are His servant. Right now, His servants may suffer physical problems, and some are persecuted and martyred. Right now, it seems like Christians lose one battle for every one they win. Right now, Satan seems to have a strong hand. But one day, Christians will enjoy all things with their Lord.

Lord Jesus, I pray, “Your Kingdom come in my life.” I want You to rule my heart today.

You may not receive your rewards in this life, although you will enjoy many spiritual blessings. And you will not receive everything the moment you die. When Jesus, the Heir, receives all things at the end of the age, then you’ll receive your proper reward.

Lord Jesus, I don’t serve You for a reward. I serve You for the ultimate experience of knowing and enjoying Your presence. Amen.

At the end of the age, Jesus will receive all spiritual blessings, and He will share them with you.
