  • The Real Goal
    Wednesday, September 14, 2022

You're in your car, you're late, and the person ahead of you is going really slow. You say, "Come on, step on it, buddy! I have to get to service, and the teaching is really important. It's called 'Be Still and Know That I am God'." How often we miss the point. You're rushing and anxious because you're late. You're losing peace and becoming more and more unlike a Christian. You're losing the gifts of the Spirit because you're rushing somewhere to hear about the gifts of the Spirit. You might be in a ministry or have a goal to do God's will but doing it in the worst way. How easy we forget the reason why we do what we do. Your real goal is not to get to that meeting because if it is, you will end up with no peace, patience or love. Your goal is simply this, love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and your neighbor as yourself. That's it. When you're behind that really slow driver, it's okay. Just love, bless and pray for them. That will please the Lord, and that's the real goal.

    Today's Mission
Keep in mind today that every encounter is a divine appointment. Your real goal is to love God and those you encounter.
