I thank You for coming to us as Immanuel, God with us, as Isaiah prophesied and as Matthew wrote in his Gospel...
Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
I pray for those who are lonely this Christmas season, for those who are suffering, that You would visit them as Immanuel, God with us.
I pray that through their pain, that Your presence would wash over them, covering them with Your joy and peace.
Please lead me by Your Holy Spirit, that I may be available to bring love and joy to those around me who may be lost or struggling.
Give me the ability to see the world around me through Your eyes this Christmas, and please teach me to be more generous, as You are to me.
Please use me as Your hands and feet, so that Your goodness may be known wherever I go.
This Christmas, let the name of Jesus resound in my heart and in my life.
