  Lighthouse Ministries Daily Prayer

  Dear Father God,

   

  Thank You for Your Word, The Bible, and for the guidance and truth it speaks into my life.

   

  I want to know You more with each day, as I set aside time to read my Bible and to let Your words rest upon my lips, in my mind and in my heart...

   

  Your word is a lamp to my feet

  And a light to my path.

  Psalm 119:105

   

  I want to be more like You my Lord.

   

  Please mold my heart to be more giving and loving.

   

  I pray that I will be slow to speak and quick to listen...

   

  My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:

  Everyone should be quick to listen,

  slow to speak and slow to become angry,

  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

  James 1:19-20

   

  Help me to develop the spiritual fruit of patience, so generously nurtured by Your Holy Spirit.

   

  Please forgive me for the many times that I have fallen short of Your perfect ways.

   

  Each day I will continue to choose You and to seek Your ways over my ways.

   

  Thank You Lord.
