In 1888 Frederick Nietzsche wrote a book called The Anti-Christ. It follows the premise that "The worst thing to happen to humanity is Christianity." The next year, he suffered a mental breakdown and ultimately died insane. There was a significant person in history that read this book and became a disciple of this teaching. His name was Adolf Hitler. His false beliefs that he could act as God resulted in the death of 6 million Jews and many more in the Second World War. In recent times, there is the book The DaVinci Code based on New Age ideas that you shall be as God. And let's not forget that this very same message was given to Eve in the garden. Underneath it all? The lies of Satan. It ends with death. It did in the garden. It did in the Holocaust. And it does now. The Word of God is true. We shall not become as God, but God became as us, and in that is everything. In that is our salvation. When you seek to be as God, there's death. Seek to live as a child of God; it's life now and forever.
