#an important center of Christianity in his day. After the death of his father

#his mother sent him to the best schools for his education. As a result of his philosophical studies he was convinced of the truth of Christianity

#entered the Church

#and became a renowned scholar and orator. He then adopted a life of extreme asceticism as a hermit and committed the whole of Sacred Scripture to memory. The brilliance of his mind combined with the holiness of his soul made him famous; he was ordained a

#among the greatest in the history of the Church

#which earned him the name 'Chrysostom' meaning

#'Golden-mouthed' or 'Golden tongued'. His sermons

#which extended for up to two hours

#were public marvels. His straightforward style of preaching the Scriptures and his practical homilies made him very popular. He also denounced the abuses of the ruling authority and preached against the immorality of the day

#which resulted in him being exiled numerous times. He was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church in 451. St. John Chrysostom's feast day is September 13th.

#"Here I am." Then he said: "I am God

#the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt

#for there I will make you a great nation. Not only will I go down to Egypt with you; I will also bring you back here

Good Morning. Yes its Saturday, going to be a busy day today. Will be getting ready shortly to go to the Share Food Pantry which is associated with the Greater Chicago Food Depository Organization. All the food pantries I am associated with will be very soon getting ready to distribute food for Thanksgiving, and I will be so stacked up with food I will be doing the Irish Dance lol.

Then between 1 and 5pm our new dishwasher will be delivered and installed. We had to scrape up funds for a month to get a new one cause the pump on the one we have that we bought 4 yrs ago blew and we cannot afford the insurance for it so it would not cost us anything. So we had to get a new one. But one thing for sure, I am going to scrape up funds in December to get insurance on this new one coming today, cause we are getting to old to try and replace appliances. I'm 65 and Greg is 71 and its called start planning the future now to over come disasters.

It's like that old Southern Gospel Song the Rev. Martin Luther King use to sing We Shall Over Come.
