Today especially, we give thanks to the firefighters in California, to the military service members protecting us across the globe, to the law enforcement personnel of all stripes and agencies protecting us (as best they can) from lawlessness, to the farmers and transporters who bring our food to our local outlets, to the scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and chemists who provide the basis for all our modern technology and medicine -- through their hard work and dedication, we are able to say we are indeed fortunate. We thank our family and friends for their love, support and companionship.
We are thankful that "America’s Fastest Growing Religion is 'None'" (from the Home page news feed) - "Often dubbed religious 'nones', this group is becoming more and more influential. In fact, according to Pew, these 'nones' are the fastest growing religious group in America. ... In many ways, the U.S. is simply catching up to other parts of the world". This alone gives me hope for the future, when we are truly united, when many come together to form one.
