The Lord as He decrees has made the sun to set.
His Justice commands that the earth be made of ice and barren timber.
The leaves shall die and the colors of autumn shall form a crown for Our Lady of Sorrows.
The holy ones shall cry from their graves for mercy from the purest fire.
The call of our ancestors ripe and fallen on the lips of the living.
Who are you, O Judas, who has made this so?
This betrayal must we suffer as an agony in the garden?
The blood falling from our faces as though we were crowned with thorns.
But hear these words, O Judas, you embodiment of the grave, spring will come and our resurrection will triumph in victory over death. Amen.
