Dear Friends,
in a German song there is a passage of text that reads "Sometimes you ask yourself. Is there someone
who understands my heart and who will go with me to the end ? Is there someone who still believes in
me ? . . . ". (See also below.)
Are we not all looking for such a helpfull support and companionship, which gives us at least an inner
strengthening, especially in times of shadow and distress ?
Such a "by my side" can be anything. A friend, the family, a community and also one or the personal
faith (which all applies to me). In fact, however, there is no one right or wrong way, because our
innermost being directs what is appropriate for us, here and now, at this moment and which way we
should also choose in the future.
Our life experiences have shown us that we are not spared, but certainly helpfully accompanied.
Everything has its meaning, because through this - just through trial and error - we gain knowledge
that will bring us forward again.
We have all heard of "Lifelong Learning".
Don't our often so different contributions of our ULC community also belong to it ? I think so.
