Prayers and Thoughts Needed

  • My friend was struck by a brain aneurysm today and is in intensive care. If she makes it through the night, she will have brain surgery in the morning, which carries a risk of death or mental retardation. If she does not have the surgery, she will most certainly die. With the surgery, there is only a 33% chance that she will live and have all of her faculties afterwards.

Before she was struck down, she was on a mission to save her family that had become consummed with drugs and alcohol. She was petitioning for custody of her grandchildren and trying to get those in her family afflicted with addiction into rehab. Six months ago she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and has been battling that, along with taking care of her dying husband. Apparently the stress of all of this was too much and it ruptured a vein in her head. The Divine was truly looking out for her because she was struck with this affliction while driving, and even though she could not see clearly or move half of her body, she managed to drive herself to the hospital without further injury to herself or anyone else. I'm asking that you pray with me that the Divine's protection continue and see her out of this dark time to a time of peace and healing - for her and her family.
