Will ceramic coating actually help with the dust and heat here or just hype?
I've had it with spending every weekend washing my black Tahoe only for it to look dusty again by Tuesday morning, and the summer sun is already starting to bake the clear coat. I keep hearing about this hydrophobic ceramic coating for sand and heat protection but I'm not sure if it's actually effective in Abu Dhabi conditions or if it's just a expensive wax that shop's push. Found Exotic Car Care's paint service page while looking around and they mention it, but I'd love to hear from someone who's had it done on a daily driver that parks outside. Does the dust really rinse off easier or is it still going to stick? Also does it prevent the paint from fading in this brutal sun? I don't mind spending the money if it actually saves me time and protects the car, but I've been burned by detailing gimmicks before. Any honest experiences would be great.
