The Christ in us all

  • Jesus was nothing more than a man. He was no different than you or me, but was thrust into a larger than life situation that has made him into the figurehead he is today. As we learn more about science and history we find ourselves looking back to the Bible as a reference. We have found that the stories of the Bible contained places that actually existed. That these "miracles" had a place of origin.

Although the stories of Jesus didn't seem to be much of a "Miracle" by today's standards, those tales of kindness and charity and good will towards our fellow man are needed as much today as it was in Jesus's time, maybe even more.

Today our world is run by corrupt individuals, people only interested in worshipping the money they have and how much more they have than other people. These are the same people you will find running the places of worship as well as big corporations and Government. Everywhere you look you will find GREED.

We cannot go back to the days where people helped one another as our society will not allow it. Try as some of us might, it all comes back to money. We need it to survive as charitable institutions and individuals who are willing  to give of themselves are few and far between. Even now, people need to "Qualify" to receive these charities. Those who do not are pushed to the wayside.

This season let us do a little something for our brothers and sisters in time of need. Share a meal with them, give your charitable contributions to those in need directly and not to the Churches and other so-called charitable institutions (most of that money goes to pay the people who run it and their expenses). When we give directly to them, we know that our charity is actually helping the one individual and not going into greedy pockets.

Let the Christ in us reach out directly to those in need, even if it is a food donation to a food pantry. Volunteer or open a soup kitchen, with all the unemployment today there will be a great need for them as well as low cost shelters. Take a look back at the great depression and use that as a guide for what our future holds for the next decade.

    May the Gods bless you.
