We are all brothers and sisters.

I look around me I see far too much hatred. I turn on the news and see people killing each other over political views and religious differences. This begs the question what are we trying to achieve? Do people really believe God wants them to kill people who disagree with them? Is your political view so important, you are willing to kill your neighbors? Are you willing to destroy your karma? or burn in eternity, or whatever other form of retribution you believe in?

I have study many religions over the years. All of them teach us to love each other. Yet we continue to think we have to hurt other people, because they pray to another god, or call god by another name. We are in a time of great enlightenment. We understand things know that no people before us understood. Yet we continue to act like barbaric fools picking up whatever we can and using it as weapons. What have we achieved? It seems that every act of violence just multiplies into more violence. How can people still believe that we will achieve peace through violence? How can anybody interpret their religious scriptures to say kill each other, it is what God wants.

I know as individuals we don't have the power to stop governments from going to war. We do have the power to share our love with each other. So when you go out today just be kind to someone who has totally different religious views than you do. Reach out and say something nice. Share something from your garden, with that neighbor you never got around to meeting, or just compliment them on how nice their clothes look. The point is do something, anything that will bring a smile to another person. You get extra points if it is someone who may feel oppressed because they look or speak a little different. Spread the love people because peace starts in our hearts.
