Unlock your power: Sights and sounds

  • Unlock your power: Sights and sounds

-- Introduction to a difficult subject, but a very important one
If I said to you that sex can feel great, you would almost certainly believe me because it has been
documented and vigorously studied trillions of times, across many species.

In order to sell something we add sex into it, as we would add salt to soup. If we really want to sell
it, we add garlic to a pasta, salt to soup (think Campbell's soup, 99% salt, 1% water) or a more
universally recognized food analogy: McDonald's fries.

However this written piece is not about an over-sexed tiger roaming the bars of New York City or
Bangkok, or about the food served there. I wanted to rope you in with a great hook on this post and
then tell you why it's hard to introduce and then show you the magic, then tell you how I did the
trick, so you can become a modern day magician yourself.

    -- My life-story compressed
My life story can be summarized by the travelling of many paths whilst standing perfectly still, trying
to summon the inner processes that linger just beneath the surface of my thinly-veiled reality.

I had an amazingly hard time in the world of academics. By my late 20's I had clawed my way to the
height of post-secondary education. It was an outstanding achievement, and with fifty high-school
credits (you need thirty credits to graduate) and having "learned how to learn", absolutely nothing was
going to stand in my way: financial, teacher strikes and pickets, broken language instruction, lazy and
absurdly affluent group partners who assumed they could buy life instead of living through it, work and
school balanace, fierce Canadian climate, unwieldly quantities of information to absorb, no problem
    I'll work through it.

But that's it, I had problems coping with the amount of information that chemistry can impart. I knew
exactly what I could not do: I couldn't rely on others or somehow buy my way out, the ball was placed
    squarely in my court.

The first inning of the big game is in play, I'm paying huge to play, and I have to win.

Failure spells defeat in every part of my life, for which there is no other hand to play. Play horribly
and look bad to future employers, fail the hand you're dealt and never get an employer.

It's no secret, in modernized, industrial countries, you have money or you have nothing. Things will
not go well for you, the only glory of this world you will know are the stars in the sky, the one shirt
on your back, and that little baggie of cannabis you need to sell to make ten bucks to buy a meal at
    the local iHop.

But thinking back to my days of growth, when I was younger, searching for meaning locked away, I said
to myself "how the kcuf do I get A's like those guys?!" So I asked them.

    -- Receipies for A's
I farmed-in a vivid range of answers and tricks:

    - "Read the material three times, write the material three times, create study cards, then get your
friend to test you three times on each study card." Whew! Talk about overkill, because that would take
forever, but still, it would be learned. This was mentioned to me by a Ph.D. who has since completed
    his post-doctoral degree.

    - "Study in the bath tub." "LOL what?!" "No really, think about it. When you get in, almost any
distraction can come along, but you'll never want to get out. You have no choice but to study!" This
was a cool suggestion by a classmate who seemed to get magic grades that are only fabled about by the
highest kings of college (He received 99% for his entire program).

    - "Read it once, then test yourself on it until you get it right" That's from an article written in
Psychology Today. I also like this suggestion, it's hardcore enough to work.

Excellent suggestions, but it isn't enough, there are still many secrets to success I still have to
    find in order to succede.

    -- How I reached what I needed
As with many people, a simple random-website-Internet-session ("net-sesh") can lead from an article
about the spice oregano, to growing plants in test-tubes, to the hotest music on tap from some random
artist. Obviously I searched for study tips and concepts and came across the same stuff rehashed on
websites, and back in those days I did not run an adblocker like uBlock Origin in my browser.

Good ol' brother Google gives me an advertisement. An advertisement that would change my life from that
    time forward.

-- The one advertisement I am thankful for
That advertisement suggested that I try "Brain Wave Entrainment". Woaw, space-age-race stuff it turns
    out.

NASA had been experimenting with people that play video games while listening to specialized music with
embedded tones, and music with tones and response to light stimulus using googles which emitted light
    at specific frequencies. Seemed interesting.

Moreover, while shopping at Costco, I remember seeing lights which are meant to eliviate the symptoms
of Seasonal Anxiety Disorder and sell for a cool hundred dollars.

But that advertisement. I don't know what made me click on it.

    -- The software for learning?!
Turns out that I could try software that would apply "binaural beats" to any music I fed to it. These
beats would help me study. LOL yeah right. What a scam? Hmmm 30-day guarantee via Paypal, a third-party
    payment processor.

Ok maybe this company is serious.

Well, ok this truly seems like jokes but what have I got to lose?

    -- The offer
Software that takes music and combines it with "binaural beats" to train your brain into a state. Or
    just go hardcore tones.

We all have different states or "frames of mind", like I think and feel different when I am running a
marathon or slumping in my chair, waiting for the good part of a TV show. Wouldn't it be great to be
able to switch to study mode when I want to?

Ask a monk if you can change into a meditative state, and he will tell you "sure, with time and
    practice".

I don't need anymore practice, I have over thirty-some years of changing mental states on a daily
basis. I need to be able to control when and into which state.

    -- What I actually do
I start up my computer, plug in headphones, turn on "mindstereo" software or "neuroprogrammer 3"
software, and crack open my textbooks and sink my teeth into the work. I can hear the soft tones
reprogramming my neuronal pathways whilst I work and listen to excellent music.

Both softwares are available from Transparentcorp (dot calm) and are reasonably priced considering the return on
    investment you get.

    -- Post-Script
Remember I get nothing from telling you about this, I make no money from transparentcorp, I just have
experience with their products, I get practice blogging, I have a need to help others as Google has
helped me, and because we are all children of the same universe.
